Here’s the latest installment of our series of exclusive guest mixes! This time by Ackryte. He is an up and coming beatmaker/scientist from the midwest. His beats are an aural cornucopia of sampled jazz and soul atop hard-hitting drums. His music has been released on Digi Crates and Cascade Records. A great mix of sounds from Ackryte, vibes!
Cloud. is an amazing soulful beatmaker from Brooklyn, New York. Here is a great mix he did for us, featuring a bunch of unreleased beats, old instrumentals and a lot of other awesome stuff. Christmas comes twice this year! Once in July thanks to Cloud. Also follow The Find Magazine on Mixcloud and Facebook because those are the places where we share way more guest mixes on a weekly base. This week Bobby Tank’s ‘I Want Some Of That Purple Stuff’ and SomeWicked’s ‘Hazy Dreams IV’ for Laid Back Radio.
This new mix is done by Shag, who we love after downloading some of his free albums. Shag is a young beatmaker from Texas who has put out ten awesome beat tapes since December 2009. These sounds are highly recommended, so check out this great mix he whipped up for The Find Magazine featuring his own beats and some other tracks that developed his desire to make beats.
Every once in a while we select a producer we absolutely love, to bring you a selection of pure mixed goodness. After the likes of Freddie Joachim, House Shoes, DJ Seano, IV The Polymath, Ackky and many more, this time it’s Side Brain’s turn. He’s currently living in Los Angeles, the forefront of electronic hip hop music. He makes dreamy electronic hip hop beats inspired by the L.A. beat scene, consisting of platforms such as Brainfeeder and Low End Theory, you know it… That wonderfulness.
Handbook’s new album ‘Celebriteeth’ is released a few hours ago, but in all hectics the producer from York (United Kingdom) was still kind enough to compile a brand new mix for us! It’s called ‘Restlessness’, because according to Handbook that sums up his past few days pretty well. The mix contains songs by Eric Lau, J. Dilla, Action Bronson, Malefique, Pete Rock and Handbook himself.
The title ‘Summer Instro Mix’ says it all: this is a mellow instrumental mix that’s perfect to play while chilling in the sun, BBQ’ing with friends or travelling. Well, forget about that, this mix is good to play whenever and wherever! There’s a few exclusive beats on here too being heard for the very first time in this mix. K-Def’s beat is previously unreleased and both of IV’s beats, Jondis’ beat & Kithrmple’s joint are all exclusives as well.
We present to you, the first installment in a series of short mixes showcasing Peruvian music! This mix features Afro-Peruvian rhythms along with some rare Peruvian funk and jazz. The mix was compiled by The Find affiliate Kamir (a.k.a. Some Wicked) from vinyl records he purchased last year on his two trips to Peru. It’s recorded live at CFBU 103.7 fm Brock Radio in Ontario, Canada.
As announced a few days back, we are very happy to share this exclusive live mix by Japanese producer/dj Ackky! This ‘Slave To The House’ mix was recorded at Modle (Tokyo, Shibuya) on November 13th 2010. Some people might refer to House as bad music, but that is as ignorant as people who claim hip hop is all about money, hoes and cars. Of course there’s horrible house music, but Ackky belongs to the category of great tunes!
We hooked up with DJ Swann to create this mix for Issue Four. All the music featured in this mix also can be found in our latest printed magazine. So if you like what you are hearing, then definitely order our magazine to read all about it! All tracks in this mix are organized on order of appearance in the magazine. With the separated tracks and magazine themed tags, you can easily navigate through the magazine and listen to songs that are linked to certain pages. The magazine is a filled canvas, this mix is its musical frame.
After the stunning ‘State Of The Art’ mix in 2009, we decided to hook up with DJ Seano for another installment. We are proud to present Volume 2 of ‘State Of The Art’: longer, better and more good music. The original concept was to only feature artists from Sean’s homebase Los Angeles, but in the end we agreed not to limit ourselves to boundaries. Now the mix includes artists from all over the world: from the Netherlands to Japan and from the US straight to Poland. With artists as Damu The Fudgemunk, Onra, DJ Krush, A Tribe Called Quest, Surreal, Kero One, FS Green and Kev Brown, you just know listening to this mix can’t go wrong!
