Binary Star returns with Water World 3

After a long hiatus Binary Star, now consisting of Decompoze and One Be Lo (a.k.a. OneManArmy) is back with the release of Water World 3. It’s been a little less than 17 years since Binary Star came out with the underground classic Masters of the Universe, and while Senim Silla has retired, One Be Lo and Decompoze have not missed a beat.

The last we heard of Binary Star was four years ago when they released a self-titled EP as a commemorative celebration of 15 years together. That release just led to fans hungering for more bars from Binary Star in their untraditional ways not sticking to the 16-bars-per-verse format.

While One Be Lo has released many solo projects in the time since, there’s something special about listening to Water World 3. The production is handled by both One Be Lo and Decompoze and features verses from local Detroit talent as well as others.

His love for hip hop started with the up-and-coming Northwest scene, and has led to him become fully submerged in hip hop culture.
