Resolved Dissonance is an aspiring doctor and beatmaker from Hamilton, Ontario who graces us with our next guest mix. He is an avid fan of instrumental hip hop as is shown throughout this selection of music he has discovered and really enjoyed lately, hence the title “Not So Long Ago”.

Many beats lean toward the experimental electronic side of hip hop with artists like Tokimonsta, Juj, and Samiyam as well as some smoother jazzy and soulful tracks by Shag, L’Orange, LJones and so on. All in all this is a really awesome example of the versatility that instrumental hip hop can display and a testament to Resolved Dissonance’s tastes.

Tune in to Resolved Dissonance’s radio show “These Beats Are So Fresh” on CFMU 93.3 fm every Tuesday from Midnight to 2 AM.

The artwork is an amazing watercolor painting by Seattle artist Wednesday Wolf that he worked up after listening to the mix for 48 hours straight! Check out his website for a whole collection of incredible original pieces and reinterpretations of classic video game and pop culture icons.
