Listen: Stro Elliot – Kamaal Coltrane (Q-Tip x John Coltrane)
John Coltrane’s classic “Giant Steps” meets Q-Tip’s “Let’s Ride” in this new track by Stro of The Procussions. The combination makes sense of course, as Dilla sampled the guitar version of “Giant Steps” by Joe Pass for the original track off Q-Tip’s Amplified album. The result by Stro: a super tasty 4-minute track full of jazz and nostalgia. Kamaal Coltrane is a fitting tribute to two of the best to ever do it.
