Art: Dubelyoo, The Art Bishop

Dwayne ‘Dubelyoo‘ Wright is a multifaceted artist based in Atlanta with a passion for the hip hop movement and a great eye for blending both urban and pop cultures.

Influenced by classics like Norman Rockwell and Alfons Mucha and especially the hyper-realist painter Sebastian Kruger, Wright captures the vibrant essence of hip hop with his characters mixing several traditional techniques (acrylics, oils, watercolors and charcoal).

Starting drawing at a really young age, he became an ad designer and got to work for clothing lines and companies like Nike and Red Bull besides having his work featured in hip hop related magazines such as Complex and XXL. He has also been involved in several public art projects and successful exhibitions that often serve as an analysis on different social topics, like My Uzi Weighs A Ton. Additionally, he leads Art, Beats + Lyrics, one of the largest travelling exhibitions in the US fusing art, technology and live acts.
