The late Nujabes and his label Hydeout Productions are known for really taking their time with projects and releasing only the best quality music.

The latest release from the Tokyo-based record label, Haruka Nakamura‘s Melodica, is a perfect example of their dedication. The full album dropped today with a staggering tracklist featuring Substantial, Cise Starr, Shing02, Pase Rock, Uyama Hiroto, and two posthumous Nujabes beats.

Lamp, the first single for the album Melodica is a pensive piano based instrumental with an equally reflective music video. It appears to be a reinterpretation of some sort of an earlier Haruka Nakamura beat of the same name. Presumably the magician Nujabes got his hands dusty somewhere over this track and the result can be heard through the sheer depth of emotion.
