German artist Miki (Mihalj Kekenj) was surrounded by classical music since his youth, being born in a family of violinists. Since the age of 6 he played the violin and he still does it today with great talent and passion. Another thing he cannot deny is his passion for hip hop. With his Opus 1 project he proved that those hip hop and classical can work quite nicely, especially once you give them a chance to meet live on stage.

Music: Miki – Raise (ft. Ono)

Since the very first time I saw him performing his Opus 1 piece on stage (back in 2007) I was hooked and waited patiently for more music from Miki. Earlier this year he decided to offer his album Opus 1 for free on his website. Click ‘Spenden’ to make a donation for his good cause or click ‘Download’ to get the album for free. Miki has also worked with internationally known and acclaimed artists like Aloe Blacc (below) and Erykah Badu.

Enough reasons for The Find Magazine to get together with Miki and talk about him as an artist, his previous work, the clash of hip hop and classical music, and future projects. Watch the full-length interview below and watch out for one of Germany’s finest.
