Sleeper alert! It has been three years since this album was released on Spillage Village Records, also known for hosting Earthgang, Atlanta’s most promising hip hop act if you ask me. The label’s Bandcamp page hasn’t been updated in three years and has Hollywood JB’s Triumph as the last uploaded album, downloadable for free.

And boy, did I sleep on this one… As it truly is a triumph on multiple levels. Almost every song contains well-woven rhyme patterns that are a joy to absorb. From the breezy “Little Wings”  to the journeyman’s point of view in “Game 7” , Hollywood JB displays all the bravado, humility and lyrical technique to make a lasting impression on you.
