Kyteman delivers a beautiful melting pot of hip hop, jazz, soul, funk, and even classical music. But we highly recommend The Hermit Sessions if you’re not familiar with his music yet. If that’s the case, then definitely listen to the album in this post to get familiar with the organic sounds full of hip hop and jazz.
Dutch trumpeter Colin Benders a.k.a. Kyteman joins forces with Scandinavian audio-visual brand Hi-Fi Klubben for a new project. It’s his latest endeavour after projects like his Hip Hop Orchestra and Kytopia: a record label, studio complex, and a hotbed for likeminded artists and creatives.
On October 25th they will officially announce the plans and the purpose of the project. Watch this teaser video to get a taste of the collaboration. Knowing both parties are audiophiles with an ear for quality sound experiences, we’re definitely going to keep an eye out for it. Dutch people can head over to Hi-Fi Klubben’s Facebook page to win guestlist spots for the launch party at the new shop with performances by DJ DNA, indie band Bombay Show Pig, and DJ sets by C-mon and Kyteman.
Kyteman took the Netherlands by storm in 2009/2010 with Kyteman’s Hip Hop Orchestra’s album The Hermit Sessions and their cricitally acclaimed live shows. It’s a beautiful melting pot of hip hop, jazz, soul, funk, with a focus on classical music on the latest record The Kyteman Orchestra. But we highly recommend The Hermit Sessions if you’re not familiar with his music yet. If that’s the case, then definitely listen to the album below to get familiar with the organic sounds full of hip hop and jazz.
