Listen to Lewps Hekla’s New ‘Rose Gold Ruger Pose’ EP

Yesterday saw the official release of a new EP from Welsh producer Lewps Hekla. While the Barry resident has a few releases under his belt already, this latest project is heralded as the start of a new journey into the sonic realms that have already tempted artists such as Flying Lotus and Darkhouse Family.

The EP provides a superb snapshot of Hekla’s work, as we get drawn into a mass of jazzy expanses and contemporary funk explosions, fortified with weighty drum loops and some live instrumentation, courtesy of A.H. Fly.

It’s a strong EP, which manages to pack a lot of punches into its 15-minute runtime, while also delivering Group Bracil their first win of the year. You can stream the EP in full below, plus there are also downloads and merch available over on Bandcamp.
