Mello Music Group consistently puts out dope release after dope release. This year has been no different with releases from L’Orange and Stik Figa, Trek Life, Oddisee, and more. To wrap up 2013, they released Victim Of A Modern Age by Jamall Bufford, formerly known as Buff1. The album is his first release in three years and includes production work from fellow Michigan standouts 14KT, Zo!, and Slot-A.
Victim Of A Modern Age opens with a touching and extremely powerful track dedicated to his brother. The album doesn’t let down after the outstanding opener, as Jamall continues to share his personal experiences. Through working with families and youngsters over the past three years, Jamall realized that in certain ways we’re all victims of a modern age, but the job of living is to rise above it.
