Video: Sample This (Documentary Trailer)

An intriguing trailer for what could turn out to be a great piece of film. Sample This will tell the story of one of the most famous drum breaks in hip hop, made famous by Kool Herc’s original looping and cutting of “Apache“.

The film looks like it will weave together seemingly disparate threads of history surrounding the creation of the original break; taking in Charles Manson, gangsters and the assassination of Robert Kennedy to show how the collusion of events both positive and negative, helped give birth to hip hop.
