For the past 15 years, Farina has championed a style of DJing that hovers easily between hip hop, jazz, house and down-tempo. He showcased this eclectic sound throughout the early ’90s on mixtapes, eventually coining the term Mushroom Jazz with his first official compilation in 1996.

The style has since become his calling card, and has characterized dozens of records and commercial mixes, including a contribution to the Fabric series. ‘Mushroom Jazz 7’ stays true to form, cruising through nearly 20 mellow breaks and Soul-flavored tunes by artists like Lurob and Kissey Asplund.
