Listen: Previously unreleased Junior M.A.F.I.A demos with Biggie (1992-1994) + Vinyl

Hip hop group Junior M.A.F.I.A. was formed and mentored by the late great Notorious B.I.G. in the mid-90s. All Masters At Finding Intelligent Attitudes were childhood friends of Biggie.

Fast-forward to 2016: UK record label Chopped Herring, the masters of finding previously unreleased material and demo tapes, unearthed an EP dubbed Biggie + Unknown Producer. But thanks to research and digging by Mike Pizzo, the co-creator of Cuepoint @ Medium, they got the missing info: the producer is Daddy-O of pioneering hip hop crew Stetsasonic.

The good news: Chopped Herring released the EP on vinyl, limited to 500 copies, with Freestyle Fellowship’s 1 Style At A Tyme on the B-side. The bad news: within 3 minutes pretty much all copies were sold out, following two failed attempts with crashing servers. According to the Chopped Herring website there are “some” left, and they are currently figuring out the fairest way to sell them. Better keep an eye on their site and social media channels…
