Video Mixtape: What’s Golden?

It’s been quite a while since our last DragOnTape video mixtape, but just in time to round out the summer is a fresh selection of 90s boom bap jams. There is no secret that 90s hip hop is a massive inspiration for everything on this website, and to pay homage we’ve put together some of our favourite bangers with music videos.

The selection starts out with the instantly recognizable DJ Honda and Mos Def collaboration “Travellin’ Man” and ends with the indisputable classic “It Ain’t Hard To Tell” by Nas.

In addition to the awesome beats and rhymes throughout the mixtape, you can reminisce visually by seeing all the styles and mannerisms of hip hop back then. Sure there are plenty of artists making fantastic music these days, but the 90s will always be remembered as the time of the rawest hip hop.
