It came completely out of the blue for us, but Animalistic’s official debut album ‘Fauna’ was a pleasant surprise earlier this year. Even a bigger surprise was the release of a follow-up EP called ‘Mumbo Jumbo’, which was released not too long ago. Animalistic is a duo from the Netherlands, consisting of emcees-slash-producers Korhymes and Quincy. Hailing from the city of Utrecht, they create boom bap styled hip hop with strictly English vocals. Often they are associated with the 90’s, which is an evidently good sign in the case of hip hop.
