Starting off with a great combination. K-Murdock (of Panacea) did this remix of ‘Axioms’ by hip hop band Animate Objects. The original can be found on AO’s latest album ‘High Notes For Low Lifes‘, but we also highly recommend the album ‘Riding Fast Cars With Your Momma‘. OC – Who Run It (RUFF Remix) / Free Download
Here’s an unreleased OC remix, produced by Damu The Fudgemunk. This was originally made as part of a full remix LP at the request of OC’s label. However, the project was later shelved for an unknown reason. The vocal track is called ‘Who Run It’ but Damu’s instrumental was released last year as ‘You Know Who’ on his ‘How It Should Sound‘ 2LP (which was JUST repressed on wax & re-released with new cover art).
Tyler, the Creator – French (Toro Y Moi Remix) / Free Download
Whether you hate or love the Odd Future hype lately, the production on this remix by Toro Y Moi (don’t sleep on that name!) is crazy. So even if you don’t like the original music by Tyler, the Creator and his Odd Future collective, then please still give this remix a shot because the beat is very dark and deep.
Kev Brown & Kaimbr – 7-Songs / Free Download
We’re not 100% sure if this song title is correct, but what we know is that this is a song off the upcoming ‘The Alexander Green Project‘ (video) by Kev Brown and Kaimbr, soon to be released on 2LP/CD/Tape and limited edition green vinyl. Let’s not blab too long about the music, all we can say is that this sounds very promising!
(UPDATE 04/14/2011): Just got this in our inbox, so we’ve decided to quickly add it to this post. It’s ‘Migraine’, the brand new single by ArtOfficial off their upcoming album ‘Vitamins & Minerals’, to be released some time this summer.
