A keys player by trade, Byron the Aquarius makes a phenomenal fusion of house, soul, hip-hop, and nu jazz. On August 9th, he will release his official debut album on Mutual Intentions, called Astral Traveling. “I Can’t Help My$elf (U)” is the new single, on which he channels his inner-Detroit emcee with Slum Village vibes over an infectious Rhodes beat.

Aquarians are known for being “progressive souls.” The first three tracks from Astral Traveling show Byron the Aquarius does his name justice.

As a bonus, we’ve added the Detroit Love EP he released yesterday. Byron: “[This is] a project that I made in Detroit but never was released. I wanted to drop this for the love of hip-hop. All produced by me.”
