Stream: Shad – Peace (Demo)

It’s well known that Shad doesn’t use social media much, with his line “Maybe I’m not big cause I don’t blog or Twitter/ Dawg I’m bitter” from “Yaa I Get It” becoming one of his most memorable lines. You know what though, that doesn’t matter because while other artists spend time tweeting, Shad has been hard at work preparing to release his newest effort Flying Colours, after the immense critical and fan success of TSOL – can you believe it’s been 3 years…?

“Peace” is a rough track Shad has put together with producer Skratch Bastid, after recording tracks for his upcoming album. While this track doesn’t appear on the album, it is nonetheless the type of music we have come to expect from Shad. With his trademark wordplay Shad touches on hope, despair, violence and being at peace with yourself. If this track didn’t make the album, well let’s just say we’re super excited to hear what did make the cut.
