Video: The Black Opera – Queen of Hearts (feat. Mayer Hawthorne)

The Black Opera have put together a beautiful video for “Queen of Hearts,” one of the better songs off of their excellent LP, Libretto: Of King Legend. This is an introspective track in which MC’s Nokbai and Sensu create their ideal Queen while Mayer Hawthorne has his own image to add. This all occurs while the Queen is searching for fulfillment in her life, and figuring out what she wants.

Manan is from Illinois (born close to Chicago) and currently in Florida for school. His love for hip hop started with the up-and-coming Northwest scene, and has led to him become fully submerged in hip hop culture. Other interests include crate digging, ultimate (frisbee), and reading sci-fi/fantasy.
