News: Dela released sophomore album today (+free mp3)
“It’s tricky coming up with a sophomore album,” Dela says. “One could say it’s about taking the essence of your past work and bringing it to another level, without doing the same thing twice.” With that in mind he made the half instrumental album ‘Translation Lost’ with guest appearances by Blu, Reach and others.
After a couple of leaks, today producer Dela released his brand new album ‘Translation Lost’, the long-awaited sequel to his debut album ‘Changes Of Atmosphere‘.
Music: Dela & Blu – Lucy’s&LooseLeafs
“It’s tricky coming up with a sophomore album,” Dela says on his Bandcamp page. “One could say it’s about taking the essence of your past work and bringing it to another level, without doing the same thing twice.” With that in mind he made this half instrumental album with guest appearances by Blu, Reach and others.
But the main theme of the album is declared by Aliya, a friend of Dela who also had a small cameo on ‘Changes Of Atmosphere’. Her introduction sets the tone: ‘Translation Lost’ is about love stories gone wrong. It’s about that very moment in a relationship when two people can’t understand each other anymore. Even though ‘Translation Lost’ is not to be called a concept album, the theme is indeed omnipresent and defines the mood of the whole record.
You can purchase the album on Bandcamp below. If you want some free goodies, than download ‘WhatUWanna’ featuring Blu here and download the track ‘Lucy’s&LooseLeafs’, also featuring Blu, here.
