News: Radio DJ loses job for playing ‘Freedom Of Speech’
Johanna Schultz, radio DJ on KZYX for eight years, lost her job for playing Immortal Technique’s ‘Freedom Of Speech’. She played the song at her late night Hip Hop show ‘The Word’, but apparently the station wasn’t happy about it.

According to a source, someone of the radio station heard the lyrics of the song. In the end Johanna Schultz got kicked off the programmers listserve immediately for playing a song about, ironically enough, ‘freedom of speech’. Immortal Technique responds displeased to the news on his Twitter page: “Really? Over ‘Freedom of Speech’ … Are you fuckin’ people kidding me?”
