Get some funky soul to your ears this week with the self-titled EP from Toronto based 9-piece band The Soul Motivators. This modern soul group has been making a name for themselves in Ontario among hip hop heads and funk lovers alike with their classic sound and powerful live performances. 

To make that vintage classic sound we love from 60s and 70s soul recordings, the group plays everything out together with no more than eight musicians and a vocalist. It is really great to see a band embracing the retro style of the past when so many other musicians are stuck in studios recording one track at a time and overproducing the hell out of their songs.
