To celebrate the release of our new vinyl record, Propo’88 got behind his decks to create a 1-hour mix full of hip-hop, jazz, soul, and a few exclusives. Thanks for having us, Laid Back Radio!
For over a decade now, Dutch DJ and producer Propo’88 is “skilled in the trade of that ol’ boom bap”: both as a stalwart beatmaker for the Da Shogunz crew (with emcee Blabbermouf as a frequent collaborator) as well as on his own: his 2017 solo debut, Astronomic Delight, is loosely based on 70s jazz rock/fusion and features emcees such as Glad2Mecha, Hex One, Cee Major & Wildelux. Several new releases are currently being mastered, so don’t sleep on “The Insomniac” this year…
The mix features music by DJ Cam, Dilla, Suff Daddy, J-Live, Guts, Soul Jazz Orchestra, Ghetto Philharmonic. And new Jazzvolution-tracks by Medline, Shin-Ski (that trick mixing though!), Amerigo Gazaway, and Propo himself.
