Giveaway: One-off, laser-engraved ‘Jazz x Rap’ vaporizer
“Almost 100 years ago, the biggest advocates [of smoking weed] were jazz musicians,” says Fab 5 Freddy in this year’s excellent Grass Is Greener documentary. To any fan of hip-hop, it’s nothing new that rappers (and producers—we see you) gladly followed that tradition. And now, tech companies like PAX Labs take blazing to new heights highs.
There’s a lot that can be said about vaping. But this is by no means a biased sponsored post to convince you to start vaping. Matter of fact, it’s not even sponsored at all. San Francisco-based vaporizer company PAX Labs just allowed us to create a one-off, laser-engraved custom edition of their PAX 3. And so we did. A special one to celebrate jazz, hip-hop, and mary jane as their mutual muse.
Only two of this custom edition have been made (ever!): one for the illustrator, MC Blue Matter, and another one for someone who could be you.
Admittedly, we’re no experts in the vaping biz, to say the least. But we have to admit we were genuinely impressed by the piece of tech when we got it in our hands. In short, but feel free to make up your own mind: four heat settings, a deep metal container to ensure consistent heat (for either loose-leafs or concentrates), motion sensor technology to optimize temperature during use, and a LED light indicator which is able to show more than you’d expect of a tiny cross. Or even shorter to describe what it does: hot air is pushed through the ‘oven’ to heat the marijuana evenly, to improve flavor and consistency.
