Deltron 3030 are truly one of the most important acts in alternative hip hop. The super trio have shattered boundaries and concepts of what hip hop should sound like, and with their upcoming highly anticipated sophomore album, Deltron have once again shown brilliant creativity and musical genius. “City Rising From The Ashes” is the first official single from the insanely hyped forthcoming Deltron Event II.

What is most interesting for me about the upcoming release, is that there are now truly no limits for Kid Koala, Dan The Automator, and Del The Funky Homosapien. Thirteen years have passed since the seminal self-titled debut, and the three musicians have enjoyed highly successful careers in that time, which has led to a much more expansive project this time around, both financially and artistically.

I mean, just look at this new music video, they couldn’t have put together something like this 13 years ago, nor could they have managed to go on tour along with a 16-piece orchestra. Yet here we are, Deltron are now an unstoppable force readying to usher in a new generation of freedom and imagination in the world of hip hop.

If you have a chance, check out the group as they tour North America, and be sure to pre-order your copy of Deltron Event II.
